Connections began limited Day Resource Center services in July, 2014. First phases of the nonprofit’s program implementation include a partnership with the Department of Social Services to offer virtual technology capability (‘one-stop’ Internet access to online applications and information concerning emergency and other services such as food/nutrition, WorkFirst/TANF, other emergency assistance, case management, and related activities).Connections is working collaboratively with many agencies, other state and federal resources, Connections volunteers and staff to create a virtual, convenient, accessible and supportive walk-in setting for homeless women, children and youth. Other early partners include the Salvation Army, FTCC, Fayetteville Urban Ministry, CC Health Dept., Cumberland County Schools, CC. Library and Information Services, Fayetteville Police Department and CC. Sheriff’s Office, the CC Continuum of Care, Operation Inasmuch, Catholic Charities, Partnership for Children, Methodist College, Better Health, Vocational Rehabilitation, among others.
